Ask for verification of vaccination and heartworm preventative. Be aware of temperament and ask questions to verify the dog will fit into your family. To avoid potentially costly problems, be an informed adopter and ask your vet about important health and temperament issues before adopting an animal. Consider using an Adoption Application and Adoption Agreement when inquiring about the animals on this page. The documents are made available through PETA's Animal Angels resources.

Brutus

"My name is Brutus! I am a white and brindle American Staffordshire Terrier. My foster family thinks I am roughly 6 months old. I was taken in after being threatened to be dumped off at the pound and I am now living the good life. There is only one thing missing...I need my furever home! I am current on all my shots, neutered, and on heartworm preventative. I am crate trained, potty trained, and GREAT on a leash. I am a very happy, energetic, and silly puppy. Oh and did I mention? I love everything! I love dogs, cats, kids, people....you name it! I come with a collar, food/water dish and two months worth of heartworm pills. Seriously, I am the whole package!! I will fetch a rope, wrestle with you, and then snuggle in your lap for hours! I can't WAIT to finally be with my furever family!!"

We are located in Abilene, TX and will be willing to work with the new adopter on transport arrangements. He will be available on Novermber 23, 2011. I am asking a $100 adoption fee.
